G.W.R. Timber Products are vacuum pressure pre-treated in our own facilities using Tanalith E wood preservative, which provides a durable and long lasting protection against the threat of wood decay and insect attack. This unique formulation product is based on a combination of copper and triazole technology and provides the very best protection available, particularly for ground contact timbers.

Tanalised Epressure treated timber is the name given to timber that has been treated with Tanalith E which is the leading pressure treated timber brand throughout European and world markets, and can be used with real confidence for fencing, timber decking, landscaping timbers and construction timbers.

Tanalith E pressure treated timber has an initial natural green colouration. Upon external exposure, the green colour slowly weathers to a warm, honey brown and in the longer term becomes a natural silver grey.
Note:- The colours shown above are representations only and may vary from timber species to species.

Ensele – End grain wood preservative. Protects the areas of the preserved timber that have been exposed by cross cutting, notching or drilling. Available in 1kg & 5kg cans.

Ensele
is a blue, thickened liquid. Once applied, the blue colour turns to green to blend into the natural colouration of the treated timber

Wood is a beautiful building material

Wood is a beautiful building material; it is attractive, natural and extremely versatile. The modern home and garden can be transformed with the multitude of timber products available today. However, wood can be a source of food for decay fungi & certain species of insects. So it needs protecting with modern preservative systems. The best and most durable protection is achieved by industrially applied preservative pressure pre-treatments.

Use Classes of Preservatives

The level of preservative treatment given to timber is varied according to the Use Class (BS EN 335) situation that the timber is exposed to during its life. Generally, a greater degree of protection is required as the Use Class increases. Tanalised E treated timber is suitable for all the main Use Classes1-4. See table below.
