POST & RAIL FENCING
Post & Rail
can be seen throughout the country as either a good
footing boundary demarcation, or as a stock fence.
Post and rail is usually used where horses are kept, as the fencing offers a
safe barrier for the horses to lean against.
Post and rail serves a different kind of role in fencing. It does not create
an impenetrable barrier or screen and hardly prevents human access. However
it does define borders neatly and precisely, it is easy to erect and it has
an excellent barrier to many types of livestock. Its very simplicity can
still add a distinct style to many locations.
SQUARE ROUGH SAWN POST & RAIL
-
Posts are 1.8m (6’) or 2.1m (7') high. Either post height is available
in two widths [ 125mm (5”) or 150 mm (6”) ] x 75mm (3") with a blank bottom
& weathered top or blank top & a pointed bottom.
Rails:
3.6m x 87mm x 38mm (i.e. 12’ x 3.5” x 1.5”)
or 3.6m x 100mm x 50mm (i.e. 12’ x 4" x 2").
HALF ROUND POST & RAIL
- features half round rails which can be mounted onto different types of
post, e.g. square, round or half round. A flexible fencing system that works
well over undulating and uneven ground.
FITTING SERVICE - To provide the best service at the best price, we
have found that recommending self employed fence fitters / fence erectors is
the best formula.
We vet all of the fence erectors that we recommend and check that they work
in accordance with our high standards. We stand by any work carried out on
our recommendations.
